Neumann REK 4 Remote Electronics Kit

A kit to locate the electronics panel up to 30 m (90’) away from the loudspeaker cabinet.

This Neumann accessory is designed to complement Neumann’s extensive range of monitors. The Neumann mounting hardware range gives increased signal interconnectivity and mounting flexibility, for the cabinets and the electronics. The philosophy of the mounting hardware range is to provide the parts required to mount the loudspeakers onto commonly available third-party mounting products.

The REK 4 allows active loudspeaker electronics panels to be located up to 30 m (90') away from the loudspeaker cabinet. This has the following advantages when loudspeakers are flush mounted:

• No heat dissipation problems
• Easy adjustment of the controls
• Easier servicing of the electronics
• Shorter cable runs
• Compatible with standard 19" racks

A cable terminated with an 8-pole Neutrik Speakon connector carries the driver signal. A cable terminated with a Neutrik etherCON connector carries the display signal. Significant additional space is not required behind the chassis if you choose to mount the connector on the bottom panel.
